INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS

  • Abstract must be typed as a separate Word document, single-spaced in English, using at least 10-point size font and should not exceed 250–300 words.
  • Maximum characters for the title: 100.
  • Authors should be listed by initials and surname. A maximum of 5 authors allowed; if more are mentioned, only the first five will be considered.
  • Do not include title, author names, or institution name in the body of the abstract.
  • Name of the presenting author should be in bold.
  • Tables and graphs can be included and will be counted as 600 characters each. Photographs/images/figures are not accepted.
  • Proofread carefully for spelling and factual errors. Names, order of authors, and institution name will appear in JAPI as submitted.
  • Standard abbreviations are acceptable. Uncommon abbreviations must be defined in parentheses the first time they appear.
  • Presenting author must be a registered delegate for the conference.

Award Guidelines

Start of Award Submission Instructions:

  • The competitor must be the first author of the paper submitted for presentation at the API sessions of the Annual Conference.
  • A testimonial must be submitted from the Head of the Institution stating the major work has been done by the competitor.
  • Papers previously presented or published will not be considered.
  • The competitor should also give a written pledge stating that the work has not been presented or published before.
  • API membership is mandatory.
  • Dr. D. P. Basu Awards are of ₹1,000 each
    Dr. J. N. Berry Memorial Award is ₹2,000
    Dr. M. J. Shah Memorial Award is ₹2,500.
  • Upper age limit: 40 years (proof to be attached).
  • Decision by a panel of judges appointed by the Governing Body of API.
  • The candidate must apply for the award. Full papers will be presented in separate award sessions.
  • Eight copies of the full manuscript must be submitted to Dr. G. Narsimulu, Chairman, Scientific Committee of APICON 2026, by 31st July 2025 at:

  • The decision of the judges is final and binding.
  • No submission fee for Free Paper Sessions / Poster Presentation until 31st July 2025. Afterwards, a fee of ₹750 applies via online payment only.
  • Abstracts must be submitted online at www.apicon2026.com.
  • “APICON 2014 Ludhiana Original Paper Merit Awards”: 15 best oral free papers and 10 best poster presentations will receive a cash award, decided by a panel including the API President and President Elect during APICON 2026. Awards will be presented on 1st February 2026.
